Bike Rental in Santiago

Looking for 2 motorbikes to rent out of Santiago for less money than I am finding on-line, which is about $80USD per day. We don't need a fancy BMW650, just an XR250 or equivalent for hopefully a whole lot less than $80USD. We will need the bikes for about 2 weeks starting in beginning of November this year. We are both experienced bikers and have done many treks in other countries, just not S America before. Any leads would be greatly appreciated!

same thing for me but want to BUY to be able to cross border (renting would make it difficult at the borders) : a cheap 125 cc or even 175-250 cc, ok condition, reliable, to be able to drive to bolivia and peru in a month time : budget 500 usd around. time : beginning 2006.
cheers,

Understand you can rent KTM 640´s from KTM Chile (based in Chillan, 400km south of Santiago). Off season I think the prices are approx 60 Euros per day...not sure about other times?

Contact details are: ktm@ktmchile.cl

Thanks for the tips! I ended up renting from Motoaventura. I am taking a trip starting in Punta Arenas and ending in Osorno to return the bikes. The price per day is not cheap by any means, but the bikes are brand new BMW GS650's. Thanks for the responses!

By the way! Anybody know any good rental deals out in the lake district?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
