BMW GS Rear tyre needed
I´ve managed to puncture a rather large hole in the side wall of my rear tyre of a BMW R850GS while in torres del Paine national park.
I´m now looking for a continental TKC80 or metzler karoo 150/70 B17 before tackling ruta 40. I´ve popped an emergancy 19" tube inside to get me down the mountain, but obvoiusly want a fresh one for heading north.
Can anyone recomend a dealer or a place that will ship one down here at a not extortionate cost. Thinking going to El calafate or Rio Gallagos could prove cheap and easier as Argentina is genrally cheaper than Chile.
Better still is any one carrying a spare down here that i could buy off them. A long shot i know, but soe people are very prepared!
At the minute my time is cheaper than air freight.
Any ideas gratefully recived.
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike
This is your man.
Helped me no end, and others. Stay at Paraguaya 150, secure off road bike parking and good people.
Regards, Mick

Mike...we've got a tyre for you
Mike...
We've emailed you today (06-04-02006) about your tyre.
I'm posting here if you've not been to your emails?
You can have one of our spares, no prob's. We've emailed Javier and Sandra at Dakar Motos and told them to expectan email from you. You can arrange timeand place delivery with them.
If you've sorted something else out in the mean time drop us a line and let us know.
Cheers, hopefully see you soon.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
