BMW mechanic, spare parts, tires in Chile
Hi,
I'm currently travelling on my R1100GS in Argentina and Chile. Does anybody know a good mechanic for BMW 4V-Boxers in Chile. Best around Santiago. I also need a new rear tire. Where can I best by such a tire?
Thanks for your answers and advices.

Williamson Balfour Motors is the official BMW distributor in Chile. They are in Avenida Las Condes 12907, phone 7310700, Santiago.
Tell me the tires that you want and I will found it in Santiago for you. WBM have Metzeler from Germany, also you can find Metzeler from Brasil (cheaper)

Hola Jose,
thanks for your reply. I´m still travelling at Tierra del Fuego and I will be in Santiago in about 5-7 weeks. So it is not necessary to buy the tire now. DO you know wether it´s possible to buy a TKC80 (150/70 B17 TL) in Santiago? And does WBM also have a good mechanic, that can maintain a 4V-Boxer?
Thanks for your answer,
Andreas

Hola voelker,
Yes about the mechanics, WBM have very goods mechanics, you can trust in them.
About the tires, I'm not sure. If those are the originals in your bike sure WBM have its. If not, the tires market here is very little and not all the brands and models are here. I use Metzelet Sahara Enduro 3 from Brazil in my Africa Twin.
If you stop in Curicó please visit me at home an we can drink some good Chilean wines. Now I'm not working then I have a lot of time to ride.
Any other help, places to visit, etc, just call me at (75)327433 or my cellular 098256920.
I'm the Curico Cummunity in this web site, there is my email.

Hola Jose,
o.k. thanks for your answer. I think I'll go to WBM, when I'm in Santiago.
On my way down to Ushuaia I've already been to Curico. Thanks for your invitation. If I will go through Curico again, I will contact you.
See you,
Andreas
