Border crossings out of Chile
So Guys, I have spent a couple of months going through the SA page looking for info on buying a bike in South America. I have found out a few things that seem to be well established. Please correct me if I am mistaken or if regulations have changed (from what I have read enforcement changes quite frequently)
1) The easiest place to legally buy a bike and travel to other countries is in Chile using an RUT number?
2) Leaving Chile, on a Chilean bike, and entering into Argentina is not a problem at most border crossings?
3) Leaving Chile into Peru or Bolivia is very difficult now, and practically impossible to do legally?
Cheers
Matt
4) One can enter Bolivia or Paraguay from Argentina on a Chilean motorcycle and proceed further, into Peru legally and without much hassle?
5) Selling the bike back in Chile is not a difficult process?
I would really appreciate up to date info on the above items if anybody has it or knows where it can be obtained. I plan to thoroughly report on my border crossing experiences during my trip

In April I rented a bike in Chile (I´m Brazilian) and travelled to Bolivia, so technically I was riding a Chilean bike. They (Bolivians) asked for insurance at the border (which I had) and had no major problems entering in Bolivia.
