Buen mecanico needed in Bolivia. Any clues?
People, how's the road?
Suspect that primary drive/front sprocket bearing on my Dakar is buggered. Which means splitting the cases. Which is nice. I'm in La Paz, but prepared to travel east to Santa Cruz or Sucre if necessary. Any clues?
Cheers, gracias, suerte, Dan Walsh
PS I sought and didn't find.

G'day Dan...I believe the bike shop in La Paz is called "Walters"??? There is a Horizons Community there as well i am told, although not on the links. I am told they are a german couple. I will try to find their email for you. Is second hand info better than none at all?

Thanks, kids. Emailed Community in Santa Cruz, hopefully they'll have some advice. Could be worse. Could be Croydon.
Cheers, Dan Walsh
PS See you next in a week or two, JnR. Though I reckon you might see Trys first...

I'm beginning to feel rather left out of this.
Who wants to go south anyway?
It's cold and the Marmite is still in Cuzco.

Jerome, if you feel left out of it mate, spare a thought for me, been back nearly 7 weeks now in this stinky poo hole London...so take a wrong turn and get lost somewhere mate as there is VERY LITTLE back here compared to twising and turning around the roads back there.....its not fair, I wanna go back

Dave and Spam - how's the Nam? Worth rushing back for?
Brighty - had a couple of s with an old mate of yours, the Good Doctor from southern Brazil, first with Jeff in Norton Rats, then in Puno. He still speaks very highly of you. Which is nice.
Cheers, Dan

Scuse my ignorance, especially where "old mates" are concerned, but who is the "Good Doctor from southern Brazil" you refer to? Do you mean Henrique Martinato from Caxias do Sul. If it's him, please pass on all my best wishes to him and his wife, as well as Ivan.
While I'm into passing best wishes, please say hello to all the wonderful people of South America.
Cheers
Brighty

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
