Changing TIP owner without boarder ride
Hey guys,
I have a tricky question that I couldn't answer even after many hours of internet research.
A friend of mine is going to visit me in South America at the end of my trip and he would like to continue on my motorbike for a couple of weeks longer.
The plan is to meet in Ecuador where I would like to go with him to an Aduana and change the TVIP to his name, so he can take the bike (with the addition of a notarised Poder) to legally ride it through Ecuador and possibly other countries.
Now the question is, has anybody ever done anything like that?
Technically it shouldn't be a problem since exiting Ecuador and reentering would make just the same scenario possible. I was hoping we could skip this process of a "boarder ride" if we go right away to an Aduana.
Thanks for your replies!
