Good Day trips in and around Buenos Aires?
I will be in Buenos Aires in early November. Does anyone know of any good day trips that my wife and I can take on a motorcycle?

Leave the motorcycle and hire a push bike, there are are some excellent rides. The Reserva Ecologica is worth a visit.

There are some nearby places that worth to see, i.e Carlos Keen, Azcuénaga (great place to eat a lot ). There are many little towns not far away from BA that they remain "in time"

A little late, I know, but... Get the train to Tigre, check out the excellent Maritime Museum complete with Falklands War relics etc.
Then board a ferry which takes a cruise around the islands in the River Plate delta. Pretty scenery and most interesting lifestyles on the river.

Pueblo Tomas Jofre
For a lazy afternoon / late lunch head out to Tomas Jofre - it's a little pueblo consisting of nothing but family-owned parrillas (bbq restaurants).
google maps: Tomás Jofre, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina
It takes about 90 minutes to get there - it's almost all highway - and once you get past Lujan it becomes more pleasant. From Lujan head towards Mercedes on AU5 for 35km. 12 km before Mercedes is an overpass (unfortunately the road's name is not marked in Maps or on my GPS - contributes to adventure aspect)
On weekends it's pretty amazing - hundreds of families, groups of riders, and locals enjoying a long day of food and drink. Its a become a regular treat to take my local friends there for the first time - they always return.
GPS: 34°43′00″ S 59°19′00″ W

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
