HELP 4X4 mechanic Buenos Aries
when i got my toyota landcruiser 80 off the Ro ro ferry in Buenos Aries some w%%%%er had been playing with the diff locks with the result that the centre diff lock is now locked on. I had to drive it from the docks and i know that this wasnt wise!! Toyota are saying that its will be two weeks before they can even look at it.
Ive done all the usual tricks of driving back and forth and am worried that more chasing round looking for a mechanic will do more damage!!! any one any suggestions ideas contacts etc
regards

Hi,
If it is just wound up then jacking up a wheel will be enough to release it, i've had to do it a few times in the past.
Is it manually operated or on a switch? If it's a switch and jacking up doesn't work, try to locate the arm on the transfer box and shift it by hand.
Sorry, can't help with contacts
Good luck
Sam

once ive found the diff actuator what do i do? is there a screw? a bolt?? and what is the best way of getting at at it??? and what will i feel if im doing it suceesfully?
and what damage can i do if im not???
