Hola Amigos,
To answer my own question I rode east form Iguazu to Paraguay and north to the border with Brazil at Ponta Pora. Good road, visa necessary for Paraguay available at the border. In Brazil(visa necessary-available in Iguazu)) I rode north and west thru the Panatal to Porto Velho. The road was asphalt all the way but very rough and full of the most dangerous potholes I have ever experienced. Truck traffic was heavy. Took a riverboat from Porto Vehlo to Manaus, no problems, they leave every day for Manaus. This was a great ride. I met no Euros or Gringos. Some of the Brazilian cities are extremely modern. The riverboat ride down river was exotic and beautiful. The river is smaller(narrower) than the Amazon so you see more on the bank. Wonderful people all the way. Sunsets impossible to describe. Bill.
