Interesting things to see up Rt 3, Argentina?
Im in Rio Mayo now headed over to the Atlantic coast and up Rt 3 to Buenos Aires. I have a few days. I was thinking of Puerto Valdez, the penguins and stuff but IM not sure if they are around this time of year...
Anything else cool up this way?

If you go to Puerto Valdez you might be lucky enough to see killer whales. Magellanic Pinguins should be there.
Ruta 3 up north is pretty boring.

Man, I rode right by Puerto Tumbo not knowing there are thousands of penguins there. Im in Las Grutas now and headed north. Spent the night in Puerto Madryn last night but decided to keep heading up.

I like the Valdez Pennisula - Penguins etc. The town with hotels is Puerto Madryin. There is a big European style beach scene at Mar del Plata. Good food and a museum or two. Note i did not look up the spellings. Dave

If you are a gearhead, check out the Museo Juan Manuel Fangio in Balcarce, a car museum dedicated to the career of the '50s formula one champion. He is a national hero in Argentina, you probably know that premium fuel at YPF stations is referred to as "Fangio". Great insight to car culture in Argentina.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
