Leaking shock in Tierra del Fuego
My recently serviced Wilbers shock on the front of my BM 1100 GS is leaking oil. Although not a major issue at this stage, it's only going to get worse.
Anyone know of a reputable soul in this part of the world who would be able to rebuild my shock?
Thanks, Hamish

Hi Hamish
Contact the Rio Grande community, I'm sure they'll be able to point you in the right direction.
Season's Greetings.

Ask www.dakarmotos.com here in Bs. As. if they can fix it or know who can. Remember that here in Argentina you can take any parcel to the bus station and have it practically overnight to anywhere for very little money.
Im in BA for the next few weeks. Let me know if you need help on this end. Sorry not too connected with who might be able to do it as my bike is in LA.
Edit: Well, I guess not quite overnight from down there... but worth a shot maybe. Perhaps also on a flight to Aeroparque (downtown BA), not Ezeiza (way outside BA).

Ushuaia
Not sure where you are, as major cities will have someone, but 10 years ago in Ushuaia there was a nice MC shop up the hill from downtown, and he connected me to a great local mechanic. He was from Bariloche, and if it was me, I would have returned to B. by now! Good luck.
Allen.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
