Motorcycle air freight into Argentina from SA
Hello,
Planning on sending our bike over to Argentina from SA in September, quotes for airfreight have gone up a lot in the last years months but this is to be expected, so we're working through this at the moment.
Has anyone done this relativity recently ? if anyone has a recommendation as to a clearing agent this would be appreciated.
Best
Patrick

We air shipped to Santiago 2020 and no agent was needed to do customs. Might be cheaper than shipping to Argentina.

We just shipped the reverse direction, Buenos Aires to California, a month ago, used Dakar Motos. They took good care of us and dealt with all the bureaucratic BS. I would contact them for a quote. Prices are higher than in the past, right now there are fuel surcharges being added on, that on top of already higher prices. We paid ~$2,800 USD per bike (BMW R1200GS and F700GS).

Dakar Motos - They are the ones
Javier and Sandra - the "go to team" in Buenos Aires for dealing with air freight in/out - Dakar Motos, that's their firm.
Tell them author/journalist "Dr. G" sent you, they might have some fun stories to trade.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
