motorcycle shops south of Calafate
Hi all, slowly running out of chain oil - any hints where I can get some (of a decent quality) south of Calafate? (heading for Torres del Paine, then to Ushuaia). Thanks heaps in advance! Winne

Gear oil is fine.
Use NO OIL on your chain off road.
Clean chain with Diesel and leave it.
on pavement 90 weight gear oil is an
ideal chain lube. Clean chain everyday
and re-oil lightly.
Good luck

I always use Automatic Transmission Fluid, (ATF), even in the Scottoiler. Wonderful, cheap, and available everywhere.

Very nice Motorcycle shop in Ushuaia, Can't remember name but up the hill from the main drag. I would expect one in Punta Arenas, but didn't need anything then!

Yes,transmision oil as stated in my "owners manual" from my XR 650.I use it since day 1.
Best choice.I have my small plastic bottle with a pointed nose for dosification on the road.
