Need Bike Colombia or Near Country
Flying into Bogota Colombia on the 18th of Nov. Looking for a bike, don't mind flying somewhere close as I have no firm plans, only time.
Cheers, Danny

Flew my bike to miami from cali a couple weeks ago and stored it there till spring. I will ride from there home. Stayed at casablanca and heard mike say he had a couple bikes. Talk to him . He can be of assistance. I didnt make it to the bottom so next time I will buy a bike in southamerica and sell it there when done riding. Once through central america was enough.

Hey Nick, I just arrived in Cali. There s a guy here who deals with bikes that might be able to sort me out. I just arrived though, gonna have a look around and see what he says. Doesn t seem to be as easy as I thought it was gonna be to look in my price range due to importing taxes

There are always bikes for sale here. At the moment just no foreign registered bikes as everyone is trying to make their way to Ushuia at the moment while summer lasts.
Its fairly easy and legal to buy Colombian registered bikes, but expensive because of 80% import tax. The good thing is that you can most likely get your money back if you sell it in Colombia again within a year!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
