Arlen,
Try BeMoto in Iquique.
Alberto Araya
Serrano 1531
Iquique
Chile
Mobile: 9-067-3534
Email: BEmoto@Hotmail.com
He is the mechanic that fixed our bikes properly after the unmentionables from Santiago couldn´t be asked to do it. His english is basic but so is our spanish and we understood each other.
I will send him a copy of this so he knows where you got the contact details.
Best of luck
Jens

contact Iquique
Thanks. I will just print out your information and look him up when I get there. No doubt he can find us a place somewhere. Might need some moto repair work too. We are heading up to Equador so will swing in there on the way up north. We will then return to Iquique, store bikes and return about a year later.
Thanks again............

No definate contact.
Dave: I have had some people refer me to others, but was really looking for someone to contact prior to arrival via email to set up storage vs. taking a day or two doing it when I got there. If you have a contact, even if no email, I'd appreciate all information. Thanks. You should be able to reach me on private email on this site too.

Hi
I am in Iquique at the moment having work done on my bike by Beto after taking a tumble in the desert. Saw Jens recommendation here and again i thoroughly recommend him too.
His email is Bemoto@hotmail.com
It does work and he is here writing this with me. In the earlier post it was spelt incorrectly. Notice no capital 2nd "e".
He says that it would be no problem to store the bikes here for as long as you want, and will even provide a cover for it. He wont charge much for that service. He may be able to help you with the paperwork for the bikes depending where you bought them.
The other guy that speaks good english and is as TIG welder is probably his friend. He is welding up my Jesse box as we type!
Beto doesn{t speak much english so it may help to email him in spanish. ( we are doing very well with mimes!) I am here for another week or so waiting for parts. Am going to San Pedro for the weekend but can try and help you out again and pass on any messages to Beto next week.
If you need any more info either post here, email my personnal email or email beto at the hotmail address. As said i will be here at least another week so will be happy to try and help you and Beto out.
Cheers
Mike

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
