private parking in Quito
Hey guys I am looking for a secure parking for my bike for 8 days while I will be in the Galapagos (from the 26 of Sept to the 2 or 3 of October ) ,I am ok with paying but I do want a place where the bike will really be safe and where I can leave my riding gear and camping stuff . If need be I can rent a room and leave it in it .
Thanks

If it is any help, look in Lonely Planet, and look at the first hostel called The Secret Garden.
I stayed there, fun but weird, and parked around the corner in an off street park place, very safe and cheap, cannot remember the cosst.
The owners will know the joint, but downhill to the corner, turn left at the bullring, then two blocks up on the right
Cheers

If you dont find anything better, I may help with parking but in cayambe,about 60 km north of quito, 4 km north of the equator, on the panamericana. My parents live there and you might be able to park close to my klr in a covered parking space, all locked up. I dont live in ecuador but arranging that for you wouldn't be a problem. also some room for your stuff not a problem if you leave for a couple of weeks.

Good one Bertrand and now you have supplied the addy, I can give you better directions to the car park.
The SG is on a cobblestone street and is at the top of the hill, which slopes from right to left in the photo, the left turn is a flat road two blocks but still cobblestone The car park is mostly open to the sky, but there were undercover sections and that was where they wanted me to park the bike, very safe and clean.
I know it was interesting parking outside the SG
Happy Travels
Cheers
