rear shock-klr, Salta Arg,
My Progressive 465 packed it in here in Salta Arg today. It has leaked out the fluuds and is now a pogo stick. Any suggestions or contacts in Salta? My spanish is basic.
Finding another to replace this seems difficult as many have told me today after running around most of the day.
Help is appreciated.

Try contacting Javier at Dakar Motors in Buenos Aires:
dakar_motos_index
I do know that your progressive shock can be rebuilt ... but needs a qualified shock tech to do it right.
Javier may have a KLR shock to sell you ... or may know of a real suspension shop to do the work and rebuild it, either in B.A. or near to you in Salta.
Also, Progressive can send you parts you may need for the rebuild. (new seals, valves, washers et al)
Send it EXPRESS down to B.A. by BUS .... should make it in a day or two.
Good luck!

I do not know them but was told that "Dos ruedas" (Maxi AUAD) are helpful. They are in Jujuy 40 (and obviously also in Jujuy566, in front of San Luis).
Then I have heard that "arca de Noe"can organize a lot.
There is a good mechanic at KTM Norberto Benavides on Av Hipolito Irigoyen 631.His name is Carlos. Maybe he can help.
Good luck!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
