Selling BMW R1200GSA in Argentina for Parts
Hi All - Anyone have any experience selling a foreign registered motorcycle in Argentina for parts? It is too tough to sell the motorcycle straight up so this might be a better way as it will just "disappear." I live in Argentina and have a resident visa but just dont want to have to deal with this moto that was shipped down from Canada 2 years ago.
If anyone is interested in a purchasing as a full unit, its a 2009 BMW R1200GSA with 50k kms and lots of accessories.

Resident Visa?
Canadianregional ....
If by Argentine resident visa you mean that you are a Permanent Foreign Resident of Argentina with DNI , why don't you just nationalize the bike?
Then you can sell it legally. You have 6 months from the date of your permanent foreign residence status - permanent DNI to nationalize one vehicle. I did and although I paid import duties , I later discovered that what I paid was actually a bribe to the aduana and permanent foreign residents can import one vehicle as explained without import duties.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
