In the last year it has become almost impossible to legally do this, in Chile. Start thinking of selling it Uruguay. You can sell it in Argentina, but the gov puts a 50% tax on the THEIR APPRAISED VALUE of the bike, so you won't be able to sell it for much. Bolivia and Peru are other options but usually harder to find a buyer.
Best would be to just ask at random bike shops if they want a bunch of parts.
Or sell it to someone else from country the bike came from - this makes things easier. Again, don't expect to sell it for allot - there is still some paperwork that needs to be done and some border guards that need to be tricked.
ECU Lines has an office in Santiago. Maybe you might think about shipping it somewhere?
Suerte.

You have to ask while at the border. Not sure about the rules. Crazy border guys gave me a year the second time I entered - which they are not supposed to do.
