South of Brasil by Sidecar
Hello travellers, after almost 11 months of riding around South America on our sidecar it is time to enter into our last country.......BRASIL!!!!!!
We are really looking forward to riding in this country learn some more portuguese and see all about the Brasilian culture.
The idea is to enter Brasil crossing from Uruguay (border crossing not defined yet) and ride up north on the coast to Florianopolis, from here find the way to go and see Foz de Iguazu and then ride back towards the coast to visit a friend in Curitiba. Once in Curitiba would ride to Rio take a plane to go and see the family in USA and then come back to keep riding up north to Fortaleza where we will finish our trip.
So we are sharing all this to see if we can find somebody here in the community that can give us a hand in a couple of things.
1. We need to find a place where we can leave our DL1000+sidecar in Rio or somewhere close by during the days we will be away (from June 11-Aug 03). Our bike has to stay with someone willing to give her some love turning the engine on once in a while and even take her for a little ride!!!!! All these to keep her in good shape while we are gone
2. We would really appreciate if anyone here can give us some recomendations on routes to do going from Uruguay to Rio passing by the three places we would like to go (Florianopolis, Foz de Iguazu and Curitiba).
We are open to any suggestions, recomendations or invitations
Thanks a lot for your help
