Suzuki Dealer Lima or Cusco searched
Hello All,
i am searching for a recommendation of a garage or a Suzuki Dealer in Lima or Cusco which is specialised in big bikes. Yesterday the 5. Gear of my Suzuki DR800 died on the road. The bike runs like in neutral in the position where the 5. Gear normally does his job. Unfortunately this bike was never sold in the countries i travel through so i hope that a part of a DR650 or from the Freewind will fit.......
I can drive with the other 4 gears to lima or Cusco. Which location is better to repair the bike? Does anybody has experience with garages for this area?
Thanks for help!
Ingo

Hey man
I reckon Lima is your best bet - Avenida Republica de Panama has a few bike shops inc Honda/Suzuki dealer I think? or have a look in the Paginas Amarillo

I remember seen a Suzuki dealer in Lima but not exactly where. May well be the Av Rep. Panama.
I guess the guys from the Lima-Moto-Club can help you. We met them 2 weeks ago and they are very nice and helpfull people.
Good luck

I know it's too late for the OP now, but if anyone else finds this thread on search, then the answer is...
Yes, there is a Suzuki dealer on Av Rep de Panama, but they don't sell spares. For spares they told me to go to the Panamericana Sur on the corner with Av El Derby, near the hippodrome. I didn't actually check this out, because I found what I needed closer to home - there's a useful bike shop in Miraflores that stocks lots of spares on Petit Thouars, cuadra 43.
Hope that helps someone one day!

Ingo has led an interesting, adventurous and productive life since he first posted in this thread.....but AFAIK he no longer feels compelled to undertake transmission repairs on his DR800.
Hope this information helps other Suzuki riders somewhere along the way. And Ingo if you're reading this, my best to you and yours, wherever you are!
