Trip across Chile, Bolivia, and Argentina on a Honda Tornado 250CC
Hello! - For about 3 months I have been travelling across northern Chile and Argentina, through Bolivia. I have posted my journey on a blog that I hope will be useful to others aspiring to do something similar. Now I am in Santiago / Chile, on my way south to La Patagonia. I hope to make it all the way down to Ushuaia / Argentina (the most southern city), but I will have to see with weather and winds.
I hope my blog will be of some use and inspiration. Let me know what you think and I´d be stoked on any feedback! If you have some experience of southern Chile and / or Argentina, please let me know if there is anything I should keep in mind!!
Rough draft:
I plan to go south in Chile to Villarrica (just south of Temuco), cross the border and head to San Martin de Los Andes, farther south to Bariloche, cross the Andes with ferry to Puerto Varas, go south to Chiloé. From Quellón, take a ferry back and keep travelling south on Carretera Austral to O´Higgins or something, cross the border to arrive at Calefate, Torre del Pines, Punta Arenas, and finally Ushuaia!

250 Tornado
I am stoked with my Tornado and it has gotten through all of the terrain we have encountered from Chile up to Bolivia, back down through Argentina and is smth Id happily recommend for a ~250cc engine.
The only downs are; the seat (I use a sheep skin or sleeping pad) and low HP at high altitude (+2500MASL) and heavy wind. But really just details looking at the big picture. Good luck and safe travels!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
