Ushuaia; bar at the end of the universe?
I plan on arriving in Ushuaia tomorrow. 30000miles on my bonnie.
Plan to get naked, dive into the Beagle Channel, dance the funky chicken then get my drink on.
Wheres a good place to get your drink on?
Safe mate.

My fav was the Dublin Bar, a micro-brewery. If memory serves me, it was about middle of the main commercial drag that parallels the waterfront and a half block up the hill(i.e. away from the water) Think it was 9 de Julio street. Look for Javier. He kinda has a lucky leprechaun look to him. He's a hoot and a great guy to hang out with.
If you are looking for a place to stay, check out Rio Ono (Hotel?) It's a white building on SE corner of an intersection(Routa 3/magallanes and Rividavia?) it'll will be on your left coming into town. Has a hidden carport off the street for your steed and the owners are very friendly. Not the cheapest, but its a good place.
Congrats on making Ushuaia!!!
Do a little dance, get down tonight!

Forgot to mention, on your way north again...
If you are looking for a great place to stay in Rio Grande, check out Hotel Argentina. Located in a pastel yellow building on the southern end of the main drag on the eastside(address - San Martin 64, I believe). Its one of the oldest buildings in the town, with lots of character. The owner, Graciela, has earned the name of "Mama Argentina" in my book. I love this woman! We pulled our bikes into the drive way and before we even turned them off she was hugging and kissing us and offering a glass of whiskey! Inside this homey place, is a memorial to moto travelers bikes with a room full of autographed broken parts and pieces off many bikes from our fellow travelers. Best of all this woman will drink you under the table!
By far my favorite place I have stayed on the entire trip. Though on our way north again, she had to go to B.A. for surgery so we werent able to see her. Hope she's ok.

Maybe try the bar at the Antarctica, too - had a few s with co-owner Stuart in BA, and he's good company.
Suerte, Dan

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
