Ushuaia is getting a tad dicey (ie. icy)
Hola from Rio Grande,
Got down there about a week ago. Had freezing sleet crossing the pass. Then got pinned behind a fairly heavy storm. Waited a few days in worsening weather (the pass actally closed a couple of times) and was quite worried about crossing the mountains. Thought about putting my bike on a truck. Fortunately, I got a bad storm, but it was a warm one and melted most the snow on top the pass. You could still go, but I`d spike my tires before I went if it were me. Also, it was not very good weather for riding about, the route to the Park turned me around one day because of ice and the weather is generally crap.
Still not out of the question, but I doubt someone will push their luck harder than me! Now, in yet another act of stupidity I´m off to the Carratera Austral.
Wish me luck!
