... but, even with the season reversed, where would you get them at that time of the year?

Unless distracted... me too
I'm heading south from Panama middle of September to TDF. May hit Ushuaia for Christmas, but then again I might get distracted by a beautiful beach, an Andean village, or a vineyard somewhere (or who knows what else ) and get there later
But I will get there sometime around the end of the year or early next.

Hey Steve,
I hear you... we have the same travel plans. One of our few time goals is to reach Ushuaia for Christmas... for the same reason you mention (well maybe not all the same reasons), we might be distracted.
So we'll put you down for a possible maybe.

With all the talk of being stinky, I don't know how friendly we'll want to get.

Bike Hire
Hey all,
This sounds awesome and tempting, but no way I can get myself and the old girl (XT tenere) over there in time..... any chance of a bike loan or hire (strict budget currently in force)? from somewhere that would still ensure a sensibly timed meander down to the gathering in Ushuaia? All else failing - are we allowed to join without our trusty steeds...?

2 more?
Howdy,
Saw this thread a while back, but expected we'd have been and gone from Ushuaia by Xmas, but now with the shipment of our bikes delayed, Lady Burger and I will be setting off from Santiago in late November.
I expect after experiencing a little Chilean vino and a spot Patagonian hiking that we'll hit Ushuaia pretty close to Xmas time. So would love to join if you've room for 2 more!

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
