Ushuaia Xmas Gathering 2013
Greetings All
I'm near Ushuaia and was wondering if there was going to be the christmas gathering this year down there and where it was going to be?
I had a look through the recent threads but haven't seen any mentions.
Feliz Navidad to all

Navidad Encuentro
Ian
Rio Pipo campsite next door to the rugby club on Ruta 3 to the west of town. It's a fab location with great hosts and ideally placed for a Boxing Day ride out to the 'Aqui Finalizada' sign.
Just do it
Regards, Mick
p.s. I wish I was there again!

HUBB members not riding bikes allowed in???
We will be there in a couple of days but haven't sorted anywhere to camp yet.
WiFi there or nearby would be nice, FREE WiFi even nicer

Thanks Mick
It looks like it's the place to be.
Tony, just call it a 4 wheeled bike, I'll be the owner of the very grubby 100GS

Perhaps a very small gathering, at least at the moment since we have the place all to ourselves.
Maybe all the bikes have come to grief on the hundred HUGE topes that litter the streets every 100 metres or so

Greetings Angie & Tony
Tony,
With the delightful weather at Ushuaia at the moment I have wimped out and am staying at La Posta Hostel it's about a km from the Rio Pipo camp ground. I called in at the camp ground yesterday but as you know there was no one else around. I'm sorting out a bike tyre problem at the moment but as soon as it's fixed I'll call around to say hello
Hi Angie
I met Trevor yesterday and we are at the same Hostel, I'll send you an email in a minute and we can sort out something.

Confusion reigns - but not any more.
We spent last night rattling around the rio pipo campground on our own so today decided to check out the Andino campround and the place was bursting at the seams so we moved up here where we can see all the people we have been meeting during our travels.
Ian caught up with me here after looking at the Rio Pipo and the city campground both of which were deserted. He siad there is another Rio Pipo campground way out of town so perhaps there are lots of bikers there as well
Been snowing on and off all afternoon - albeit very lightly - so I suppose a white christmas is on the cards. Bikers and their tents all over the place and a couple of less hardy types have hired a caravan and of course Ian has taken the soft option.

Hello Ian, I've been at Andino since 22nd, I think I was the only biker, then people started turning up 23rd. Did you come by last night ?
I'd be interested to know if anyone else is planning to hang around for New Years, since many here are leaving before then.

After two weeks with the gf in Patagonia, I'm back in Ushuaia (La Posta Hostal) for New Year's and my Antarctic cruise Jan 2-11. I'll then head north for BA on Jan 13.
Anyone hanging around Ushuaia? Any plans for New Year's Eve? I hear Ushuaia is the place to celebrate it.
