Viedma, HU meet 2006
A quick post to say that my first HU meet experience was a fun one.
Met nice travelling folk. Good stories, tall stories and funny stories: Top stuff.
To all those there: enjoy the road, and to anyone else: try to make there next year!
And when Oscar (who did a great job organising it) tells you its 20 km of ripio to the Asado: take it with a pinch of salt (sand) and multiply by 2.5!!
Brilliant weekend and a great end to our trip!!
Nick and Kristina

Thanks Oscar, Nancy, and Flopy
This was our first meeting and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Oscar and his family were perfect hosts. Unfortunately we will not be able to attend the Argentina meeting again next year, but based on our great experience, we will sure try to attend the meeting in Canada or in Mexico.
Thank you Oscar for introducing us to so many wonderful people.
And now I now what Ripio is. And I can not believe we only travelled 50 KM, considering that it took my wife and I all afternoon to get there on the Harley. A great experience, and thanks to everyone for the round of applause when we finally did arrive.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
