Wanted - Bike in South America
Hello,
I am planning a 12month stay in South America starting Oct/nov 2012 somewhere in SA, and will be looking for a bike. As I understand Chile is the easiest place to get a bike. So kinda planning on getting a bike there.
Is there anyone selling a bike in october/november in SA somewhere?
Im looking for a 500-700cc bike that can accomodate me and my little paraglider.

I plan to sell my 2011 Suzuki DR650, titled in Texas, equipped for adventure riding in September in Paraguay. I've heard that it is the easiest place in South America to get all the paperwork completed. The engine and suspension are stock. The modifications that I made to the bike were for protection, comfort and long range travel. I'm the original owner and bought the bike new, but it now has 23,000 miles. It is in great shape with only cosmetic scrapes. I've had no issues with the bike other than standard maintenance like changing the oil, filters, tires and spark plugs. I had a full tune up conducted at 20,000 miles by a Suzuki dealer in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
I'm asking US$6,500 with the many goodies.
Let me know if this is of interest to you.

Hi Emmerik,
I just posted my Suzuki DR650 Adventure Motorbike for sale add at the link below. It's a great bike and ready to roll. We could meet in Foz de Iguacu, Ciudad del Este or Asuncion. I'm willing to spend a day with you teaching you the ins and outs of the bike. It is a simple single cylinder, air and oil cooled bike. Let me know if you are interested.
