Where to store Land Rover in Uruguay?
At present I am in Argentina with my Land Rover Defender. Between January 5th and approximately May 14th next year, I need to leave the vehicle in Uruguay. Can anyone please suggest a totally reliable and trustworthy place to park it for this period? Near Colonia would be better (but not essential) as I have to cross from there to Buenos Aires.
If recommending somewhere, please provide, if possible, an email address for contact.
Thanks.

Storing at Kavin's garage
Hi
I have left my bike today at Kevin's father workshop until Christmas. Well it's not a just a garage it's moto sanctuary rather with custom Harley with 6L engine (no mistake in cc)
When you read newspapers on the wall about Kevin's father (Willy) acheivements (on bike and bicycle) you will feel so small
From toaday I'm ready to call him Master Willy

WARNING !
We left our van last july near Colonia de Sacramento, at hotel Suizo, one of the wellknown storage place in Uruguay and flew to France for 4 months
Mid september, the Uruguayan customs intervened and all the foreign vehicules ( 18 ) stored there were placed under seal - using the argument that the travelers were to be present WITH their vehicle.
The law says no such thing ...
The owner of the hotel is now in justice. Adjudication process ...
Next step ? ...Someone knows ?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
