If you live in the UK check out a local fire department for free medical training
I took a course called "Biker Down" run by the Guildford Fire Department which was free, and I know many fire departments throughout the UK run a similar course.
I learned a lot from it about how to immediately assess and control an incident involving a motorcycle. Things like taking the helmet off safely, applying a tourniquet (but not how to spell tourniquet), traffic control, CPR, what information to provide to emergency services, etc.
In a rather bizarre situation I ended up laying a guy in recovery position on a train when he just randomly fainted a few days after I took the training. Young, healthy looking guy, one second stood up the other on the floor. Just randomly on a ****ing train! It can happen anywhere any time especially out in the sticks on a bike so it's worth checking out if you can get on a similar course in your area.
I also saw a collision involving a motorcycle not long after and pulled over to help. Dude was fine, but who knows right?
