Have you had the Atrial Fibrillation treated with drugs or more permanently with an Electro Cardio Ablation - or have you just had the Electro Cardio Version (with the electric shock to the chest to reboot/synchronise the heart beat :biggrin ?
If you are effectively cured, then I wouldn't have thought insurance was a major issue. If you still have the atrial fibrillation, it would in the UK/Germany, likely impact on your legal holding of a driving licence.
(I have had three electro cardio ablations and at last, it seems to be OK now. However, I never had much in the way of symptoms and only detected it when I was wearing a sports pulse monitor watch).
