Any experience with the Ghana embassy in Conakry or Abidjan?
I'm considering switching my plans a bit and may skip going up to Ouagadougou seeing as I can spend much less time just going into Conakry or Abidjan for my Ghana visa. Does anyone know if they're accommodating?

Hey there. 3 friends of mine tried in Conakry and they were not successful, the residency rule applies. They got it rather easily in Abidjan ( 2 weeks ago ) for CFA 30,000 and a print out of a hotel booking I think. I picked mine up in Freetown, Sierra Leone, with a fair bit of haggling with the visa Princess behind the desk. Good luck !

Thanks. I actually just got back from the embassy in Conakry and it seems you're right. The woman said that it was possible to get a residency permit and then she can get me the visa in two days, but I'm honestly not in the mood to deal with it or stay in this any longer than I have to. Sierra Leone embassy said to come back in the morning, so I'll attempt to get it in Freetown, if not then Abidjan.

The Freetown Ghana embassy has moved , it is not in the downtown area anymore. It is located maybe 500 m down the road from the Liberian and UK High Commissions. Try to come up with a good story though, the lady in charge of visas will insist that you are a resident to apply there too.
