You get 48hrs visa on the border for 10.000 CFA.
It is extendible in Cotonou.
Togo visa you get on a border too. 10.000 CFA, valid for a week.

Hi,
You may want to think about the visa d'entente, it could work for you.
Didn't do it ourselves, but went to office in Burkina to get the info;

Would save the need to extend either Togo or Benin.
Happy travels

Benin visa extension in Cotonou costs 12 000 CFA and takes 24 hrs (they keep the passport). If you pay 5 000 more, they will do it on the spot (you will not get the visa, but they simply let you keep the passport - with a prove that you have applied for a proper visa, it is enough to leave Benin).
If you plan to cross more countries VET visa is much better/cheaper.

VET?
anybody knows how is with Ghana visa and driving through?
by the way>
i drove from Tambacunda through Keneba to Bamako yesterday. there is a new road and it takes 12hours. road is good except one small part in national park Niokolo-koba. otherwise perfect and no problems. even the border control is really relaxed.
I will enter Burkina Faso tomorrow, few days later i plan to start with Benin.
cheers,

Visa on the border for Togo and Benin IS ONLY AT MAIN CROSSINGS if I remember correctly - those on the main highway down the the coast.
Pretty sure smaller border crossings don't have the ability to issues visa's of any kind? Pretty sure that is correct, as I had to get mine in advance as I wanted to avoid the main crossings etc.

When we crossed Benin a week ago we got our visas in Abuja but we asked if they issue visa at the border, because some friends are coming heree soon.
The embassy in Abuja, Border to Nigeria, Border to Togo and the immigration at Cotonou they all sad no.

Hi,
is there a Benin embassy or counsulate in Ougadougou?
I found a consulate in Bamako - any experience if they issue visa there?
Best Regards
