Buy a bike in Uganda/Kenya and sell it in South Africa?
I hope I can get some quick pointers in regards to potential issues with buying a bike in Uganda or Kenya, driving it to Johannesburg and then selling it there.
I'm looking to get a rather cheap bike (less than 1000 USD), so I'm not sure if there's going to be major issues with customers for such a small/old bike.
Is there anything I can do to make it easier dealing with customs along the way? If I were to take a bike down there from Europe, I read there's the option of a Carnet, but I'm not sure what the case is like when I'm buying one locally (plus, I'm living in Thailand, so if it's something that has to be arranged in advance, that might be difficult).
I have a Thai motorcycle license - is getting an international driving license a must in this case?
I appreciate any information and help provided for this case Thanks!
