Camping in Lubango, Angola
I'm writing you from The Casper Lodge (S14 55.906 E13 28.158) in Lubango, Angola.
First the bad:
-It's $20USD a night per person to camp. For a good campsite in Angola it seems about average, but if you've been wild camping it stings.
Now the good:
-Very safe and secure
-FREE UNLIMITED high speed wireless (no codes, just open network- might work on the sly if parked outside)
-A great swimming pool
-Proper, private washroom with shower and shampoo/bath gel
-Reliable power
-Place for a fire/bbq, tables/chairs, covered kitchen area.
-Good restaurant (not cheap), is okay price at 100Kwanza (just over 1USD)
The camping space is quite small (more than 2 4X4s and it would get crowded) and they don't mention it if you don't ask (but treat you just fine after you do), but if you are looking for a little treat and don't want to splash out for a room somewhere, or just want to spend a day in a nice quiet environment and get your Internet stuff done quickly and for free, then it's great.
