As far as I know borders are open without problems (well, no problems in african standards).
If you want, you are always welcome in Brazzaville... just let me know in advance when you will be here... sleeping place offered in exchange for a ;-)

Hmm, would be great if that border was open, although I've never heard of it being so. Is the road from Ouesso to Braza finished yet? If not would it still be passable?
Hoping to be in Congo June 2007.

Hi guys,
just to let you know that I'm closing down the office here and will be leaving end of the month (to Madagascar)... so the accomodation unfortunately can't be given anymore here - but everybody's welcome in Madagascar, still in exchange for the (whatever type of ...)
For the question of the road from Ouesso to Brazza, that road is in virtually perfect condition (perfect in African standards again)...
c u all and safe travelling...

Thanks for the 'on the spot' advice over the past. I've been reading the comments to get the 'on the ground' situation rather than what happened some time ago in a book.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
