much less!

can't remember exactly here in Ghana but bloody cheap! But please be aware that there are certain issues:
1) can be socially pretty taboo.
2) Drugs in general in West Africa at the moment are pretty big issues, in Ghana there have been some massive and high profile coke busts - some well publicised in UK (i.e. young girls intercepted at the airport en rout to UK), and others less so involving/implicating high level police. The use of WA by S. American cartels as a transit hub is rife, and authorities are keen to be seen to be tough on any drugs, especially in the hands of foreigners. I know you are only asking about 'wee', but please just be aware that if you are caught in the wrong place by the wrong guy you could be in for some serious grief, and a Ghana jail is not somewhere you want to spend even an hour!!!

there are a few people languishing in Jail in places like Thailand, Ghana & Mexico who wished they had just not bothered!

Panderingpeter, I am an ex weed smoker myself and believe me, nice as it is to have a Spliff..... Its not worth it abroad. You would lose your freedom, your Bike and most probably your Health & your Sanity as well.

Thats just my (dimebags) worth!

Have to agree with Kent sorry lads this is NOT the site for splif smoking, I ride a motorcycle and drive a car and never ever do drugs or drink if I'm going anywhere near either of them in the next 24 hours.

Don't forget the amount of 'husbands' in one of those lovely cells you'd have the 'pleasure of entertaining'

You would land up with an as'ole like a letter box !

Still want to buy some???

Your choice of question is NOT appropriate on a British based website platform where it is STILL a criminal offence to possess or use the stuff! What makes you think that the majority of forum members are interested in your filthy habits anyway? Not to forget the danger (to yourself and to other road users) of riding a bike under the influence of drugs. You have much to learn...In time I am sure you too will grow up just like the rest of us!

2 blokes went before a Judge to get sentenced for possessing Drugs.....
the judge said..... "its my birthday today so I am feeling very gracious... Im going to give one of you a chance, and the one of you that gets the most people to sign a pledge not to touch drugs gets a 10 day sentence.... the other one a 10 month sentence"
with that he lets them both go under police supervision for the afternoon with instructions to report back in 4 hours.
4 hours later he is back in court talking to them and says to the first offender " how many people signed your pledge?"

1st offender.... " 25 your honour"

judge then asks the second offender " and how many signed your pledge?"

2nd offender " 1378 your honour"

Judge " good grief, what the hell did you say to them?"

2nd offender " i showed em a marble and a pool ball....... and said " guess which one fits up your ass after prison?"...........

Some of you are pathetic. I've found some of the imagary described in the posts to be particularly vulgar.

I'm sorry if you find weed offensive, but there will always be people who wish to smoke it, and cursing those who do only shows your ignorance and unwillingness to discuss the matter reasonably. There are plenty of resources online where you can get the full facts about it; I don't think a discussion on the pros and cons would be appropriate on this forum - all I was looking for was tips on how much to pay.

Being descrete and taking care from who you buy goes without saying.

Point taken about drugs in west africa; but I really have no intention of having any involvement with the import/export of coke. I am talking about buying a small amount of weed for personal enjoyment. There are millions of people who enjoy weed responsibly across west africa, and many communities use it as an aid/part of religious worship. And let's face it, we are going to be talking about baksheesh, not jail, if you are caught.

Though I am T-total, I respect your decision to drink alcohol; I would ask that you extend the same to me and my choice to smoke weed. And the inference that I will be taking drugs whilst, or immediately before riding my motor bike is ridiculous; if we were talking about the price of , would you be handing out similar drink-ride warnings? Cannabis does not make people the irresponsible have-a-go-heros that alcohol does.

Under UK law, it is technically illegal to possess, not talk about cannabis.

Easy does it Tiger! Touched a nerve have we?????

I am an Ex weed smoker Myself...... also ex cocaine user, ex amphetamine user and recovering Alcoholic..... 30 years in all, so there is Naff all you can tell me about Drugs/ the law/ the dangers etc.......

we were trying to give you some ADVICE, that is all..... and some of us, myself included like a little leg pull at the same time. If that offends your sensitive nature ..well tough!

As you say, there are plenty of places online where you can find out about it...cannabis dot com is one. Im sure you can find others that cater for your need.

One of the posters..... I shall not point the finger at whom, is, i believe, a serving, or an ex Copper....... so...... maybe you can understand their reluctance to 'help' you in your quest.

I still stand by my post mate..... Toke if you must, but be aware that we as visitors are an easy target. I for one was only concerned for your welfare not trying to put the 'frighteners' on you.

and if you must know prices........ about a fifth of what you originally said. im probably gonna get a now!

or at least some flak from others!

Edit: did you know it also grows WILD in those countries?

Thanks Martyn. Extremely cheap then! I didn't know it grew wild there. What I do know is that Sativa is the prevailing species, and that it can be much stringer than we are used to in Europe. Which areas have you 'visited'?

No offence taken, I know you just wanted me to be safe. I'm not as stupid as I might sound; I know there will be scams out there, and that as a white man I should expect to pay for any mistakes I make. I am not planning to buy anything from the first man I meet on the street outside a Lonely Planet hotel!

I havent been to Morroco, just Tunisia......and that was yeeeeeeeeeeeeeears ago!
If your going to Morroco beware of the 'Kif' Mountains... I mean 'Rif' Mountains.. you will be hassled to death there to buy. and yes its cheapy cheapy cheap cheap.......
Morroco is the MAIN Hash producer for the whole of EUROPE Dude!

So.. its available........ and Morroco is the Top of Africa.... and Africa is a HUGE country. and it does indeed grow wild........ Google it.

EDIT: "wild" means the odd plant here and there......... if it looks like it is someones plantation or cultivated.... for the sake of your Kneecaps or Throat its probably better not to harvest any....

Evening All.....

Lets all calm down a bit.... I respect YOUR right to free speech and free association, I just don't feel this is the place to discuss the likely cost of illegal substances in your travels throughout the "Dark Continent". I also care as much about YOUR safety as any other persons.

I reckon Martyn's got it about right with his advice. He's obviously a man of great wisdom...

I wish you well in your travels...

I don't want to give the impression I always take the moral high ground either... I know how to enjoy myself and I can be a prat too at times...

This forum is fast becoming a habit.... perhaps we should book in to rehab Martyn!

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
