Entering Senegal with minibus
I know this has been covered before, but some of it is outdated and there's a detail I want to iron out.
I crossed from Mauritania last year on a bike and had no problems, but as far as I can see from the text in the law, the 8 year rule doesn't apply to bikes, so I just got the normal vehicle paperwork like every other country.
I'd always worked on the assumption that with a car/bus over 8 years old you just paid the bribe at the border and got in.
But based on the hassle I had when my bike papers were expired by a day at a checkpoint last year, it begs the question....if you just bribe your way in, are you not going to have a world of problems at every checkpoint without the correct papers?
Or can you actually bribe or otherwise to get a laisser-passer the same as a bike?
