Film Maker Searching for adventurers in SA/Swaziland
Hi All,
I am a UK film maker who is moving to Swaziland in July. I have been talking to various broadcasters about making films in southern africa.
The overall feeling is that while there are plenty of people out there challenging themselves with amazing adventures there are not the people with the producing/directing/camera skills taking up the opportunity to make great films.
I want to change that.
If you are planning a trip to southern africa and would like to be filmed for a documentary mail me.
Cheers
Matt

G,day Matt,
Good to hear that people like you exist. I am planning a trip from London to Capetown daparting in October 03 possibly with another bike traveller.
I am from Darwin-Australia , he is from South Africa.
My plan is to return home(after spending what most young Ausies do-travel around europe for 2 years) Via the west africa, central, east then Southern Africa. Upon reaching my sub-goal ,cape of good hope, i will then ship the bike to Perth in Australia and ride home to Darwin.
More info can be viewed on my website- http://mysite.freeserve.com/gary_nunan
I was origannaly thinking of making a documentry on my travels, but gave up the idea through lack of funds and filming experience.
Hope this gives you some ideas.
Cheers Gazza.
Cheers Gazza.

Hello Matt,
We are writting to you from Ethiopia. As you said, there are many people out in the world seeking adventure, but most have no equipment, money or film experience to warrant the production of a film. It's great what you are doing.
We are a guy and a girl in our 30's, French/ American, who left France on Feb 21st, 2003 to cross the African continent on two BMW motorcycles. Our route has been Tunisia, Algeria, Niger, Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad, Sudan, and Ethiopia. We will continue through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and South Africa,(maybe Namibia). If all goes well, we'll keep going....South America - Australia - S.E. Asia - India - Middle East - Europe.
We have a website at http://photobiker.com containing journals, photography, maps, etc. to give you a better look at who we are and what we are doing. Let us know if you are interested in talking further. Our contact information is on the web site.
Best of luck with your film making.
A bientot,
Merritt & Pierre

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB.
