Hi Steven, I'm heading for South Africa in a month or so, presently having some work done on my bike in Buenos Aires before touring further north. I plan to do the same route as you have planned, except I don't plan to visit Ethiopa at the moment. Hopefully I can help you with info down the line. Good luck on your trip and with your charity, sounds interesting. And Michnus, thanks for that website info. I hope to find other riders in ZA in July- after failing to find even ONE rider heading in my direction in South America. D.

hola hook,
I don't know if I'll actually be going into Ethiopia, I've heard mixed reviews on the country and friendliness of locals. I suppose I'll decide as I get closer and talk to more travellers.
Anyhow, please drop me an email (email address on website: www.twowheeledtraveller.com) so I will have yours. I may trop you a line from time to time when you're on the road and see what advice you have. thanks.

Not sure if I will be able to join Thomas next year but I can definitely extend the invitation to Cape Town.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
