Smile Stopped the trip in Bamako, started a Hotel

Hi everyone,

We stopped our African motorcycle trip in Bamako, MALI and after a year of construction have completed our hotel. It's in the Hippodrome neighborhood located next to all the good restaurants, bars and shops.

The site is: Le Comme Chez Soi - Chambres D'Hotes - Bistro - Bamako MALI

Here are a few images to give you an idea:

And some of the amenities:
  • Air conditioning & hot water
  • In-room system of more than 200 films, tv shows, and music
  • High speed WIFI
  • Reception safe
  • Skype phone in the rooms
  • Free cyber cafe
  • Large selection of books in english & french
  • High quality imported linens & feather pillows
  • Quiet tropical garden
  • Swimming pool
  • Convenient location
  • Complimentary breakfast
I hope we get to see some of you on your way through Bamako.

Take care and safe riding,

Gael & Sonja

Just pulled into Bamako today - you don't mention anything about parking for 4x4's or bikes?

Happy to stay and write a review if you need your first guests and feedback!! :-)

AMAZING JOB!

Spent a couple of days in Bamako in 2007 and 2008 but didn't have the chance to experience this comfort and services!
  • In-room system of more than 200 films, tv shows, and music
  • High speed WIFI
  • Skype phone in the rooms
  • Free cyber cafe
In Bamako? WOW!

I wish you all the success!

Good luck, sincerely. I like people who make their dreams come true. I would like to join your place as guest soon. Mali is in my "next things to do" list.

Back to Africa

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
