Sudanese Visa Application Form
After a painfull 1/2 hour on the phone to the Sudanese embassy I still have not found out where the above, downloadable form, is on their website. Is it a *.doc or pdf and can anyone email me a copy?
If anyone else is interested, Tafeeq, in the visa section, was very certain the Western border was closed but we'll solve that problem when we get to it.
Many thanks,
enzo

if you are applying for a visa in london, don't bother. the embassy there is staffed by bunch of morons (and that's the polite version of my opinion) and you will never get a visa out of them (if you're on a brit/usa passport). do a search on the HUBB. there are various opinions here. get it in germany?/spain?/switzerland?/egypt?/ethiopia?good luck

Hello,
you can get and apply for the forms in Cairo at the Sudan Embassy. You will need a letter of recomendation from your goverment saying you can travel into Sudan and then 4hrs later you have a visa.
Good Luck

Many thanks for the info but I had planned to enter the country via Chad (if possible on the day) or via CAR.

Enzo,
The border has been closed since mid-April last year, the last few trucks arriving in Khartoum gave reports of military build-up
If you believe the news, you probably wouldn't want to be in that area right now.
Although the Sudanese gov. have signed a peace treaty in the south, they have now moved their attentions to the west.

Of course the situation could be different in 3 months time - but if you wanted to travel from West to East, at present, what would you recomend? (Egypt is not an option) Travelling down the western seaboard?
