Update on Benin visa in Togo
So according to people here there is now a 99% chance you'll be denied the 48 hour visa for Benin at the border. The good news is that getting the visa in Lome is quite easy although takes a day. They need two photos and that's it. A 15 day single entry visa for me was only 10,000 CFA which is the same as the 48 hour used to be. They're also offering just about any other visa under the sun as long as you're willing to pay the price. If you need the location of the it's in a part of town called Kodjoviakope which is essentially bordering the Ghanian visa. If you're on the main highway, ask just about anyone and they can point you there. I've marked the spot on my map if you want a screenshot let me know.

Easy in Accra
Hi all,
Just to let you know it's also easy and friendly to get in Accra.
Copied this from the visa page on our blog...
BENIN – Accra, N5 37.007 W0 11.178, December 2012
Easy and friendly.
Simple form, two photos, pick up form and hand in passports between 8 and 11 any day; pick up from 2pm same day (we turned up at 2pm and were still allowed to apply but then had to wait 24hrs).
Normally only 15 day, single entry for non-residents (40 cedis) but smile sweetly and pay 80 if you want 30 days, muliple entry.
Happy travels
Sam & Catherine

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
