some info
Mali, Got mine at the border. 1 month
Nigeria, must get before border..got mine in Niger
Cameroon, Got in Abuja nigeria
Gabon, got in abuja
Congo, got in abuja.
The Nigerian police will not let you pass to the border if you do not have a cameroon visa. ( when I was there anyway 2008 )
Abuja will surprise you. I did not like Nigeria but because this city is only for people who have business in the city, it is a lot quieter.
Now you seem to be going the coastal route which means you will be going to Lagos...sorry for you!
Cheers
Orrin

Best to get your visa for Guinea from Nouakchott - same day service if you can find a day when they open - and much cheaper than in Bamako, Mali.

I assume that you prefer getting your visas straight at the border, without having to spend time at embassies.
This is possible for Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, Togo, Congo and most likely for Cameroon.
I am not sure about Guinea (haven't been).
I know that Gabon will be tough without prior visa and Nigeria practically impossible.

Hi, I have gone trough most posts about visas for the West Coast but I can not find any info for visas if traveling from South to North ! I just wonder if most visas, say at least up to Nigeria can be obtained in South Africa and if so they must be flexible on dates. Thanks - Alfredo

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
