Wanted - 4x4 camper hire S.A / Namibia / Botswana December 2008
Hi folks, after a recent health scare we have decided to do a short notice 4/5 week 4x4 tour of SA./ Namibia / Botswana in December 2008 / Jan 2009.
We need a 4x4 roof tent or Bush truck, dates reasonably flexible, no pirates.
Any suggestions/ recommendations.
Thanks,
Steve

We used one near the Joburg airport.
Just went across into the car rentals area and asked about them. We only had 2 days notice of going there. I will try to track down the name for you.
Back in 2005 we paid about $100 USD per day unlimited mileage. Roof camper, steel canopy, ARB fridge and basic cooking gear, chairs etc. Single cab Navara Diesel I think.

Round Trip
Hi Steve,
I wanna do a round trip RSA start around the 6th dec. from Durban down to Cape Town, than up to Namibia spending 4-5 Days in Sawkopmund and ride some big dunes at the desert run. Than down to Onseepkans for Christmas and than back to Durban around the 29th december. I will travel with my ISUZU 4x4 with trailer and bike. On the 4th of Jan I am doing an 11 day Lesotho/Transkei trip.
There is space left for 3 in the Isuzu
That could fill your 4-5 weeks and save the bucks for a rental
regards
Thomas

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
