DRZ 250 valve clearance spec?

Got a DRZ250 to service and as you might guess it was never officially imported into South Africa just as the idntically powerplanted 250 Djebel.
As you might further guess the owner does not have a service manual for the bike :-/
Tried to ask uncle Google for the specs without success. Incredible what kinds of rubbish one can find on the www. (Although I admit I discovered a few new good sites and learned lots of unrelated things I never wanted to know :-)

Now who can help with the valve settings for the air/oil cooled 250cc twin cam Suzi single? Or point me into the right direction where I can find it on the www.

Your help is much appreciated.

Exclamation Year/Model?

Get the year and/or model number and I will ask my friendly Suzuki mechanic for you. We have lots of them here.

Cheers!

It's a SJ54A 101 478
Looks damn right like a DRZ250
Owner claims it's a DR250S 1997
I found a pic of a very similar if not identical bike on the www claiming to be a DR250SE 1996 (?)

While fiddling (=servicing) I found the only non Japanese sticker on the bike.
It says DR250RS

Uncle Google is still clueless.

By now I have three setas of valve clearance specs:
Local shop & grey importer: 0.10 in. and ex. (me: ???)
NZ someone: 0.05 to 0.10 in. and 0.08 to 0.13 ex (me: sounds better but still pretty little clearance for a small OHC bucket valve train)
2 NZ Suzuki dealers: 0.10 to 0.20 in. and 0.20 to 0.30 ex (me: I would have trusted those right from the beginning would they just have come first!!!)

NIIIIIIIIIGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
