Is it possible to divert DRZ400S into DRZ400E?
I mean the engine tuning. As you may know DRZ-E and -S have different camshafts, valves. For me the biggest disadvantage of S version is that it is underpowered (only 39 hps), but it seems the 49 hps of E model will be right enough.
Has anyone tried to make it? What aftermarket spare parts will i have to purchase for such tuning? Thanks.

Yes, sort of.
The best place to get the info is www.thumpertalk.com
Here is what you need to do. The diffrences are the cams, the base gaskit, and the carb. You also need to cut out your air box. The ECU units are diffent and not interchangable. The S model rev limiter is 10k while the E is 10.5 K there is an aftermarket box to take the rev limiter to 11K I believe, but you need to do lots of head work so the valves can take the extra RPM. Not worth it in my book. As for other diffrences that are non performance rated, the two models have a diffrent sub frome, and the exhaust port is not the same but close. I may be missing something. The expert on this is Burned at thumpertalk. There are other, less expensive ways to jack up you E model, like the 3x3 airbox mod etc. There are so many things you can do to these bikes it is unbelievable.
