DR650 Wiring Loom query

HI,I've got a 96 DR650,one of the last SP45A's .The previous owner had a bit of a mis-hap while welding the rear of the exhaust and melted a good part of the wiring,telling me this before taking my money must have slipped his mind but I've moved on from the wanting to maim him phase and just want it fixed.I've found a good condition loom from an SP43A,the RSE model.Apart from the extra exhaust and the headlamp cowl on the RSE they look very similar to me.My query is will the "43" loom fit my "45",the one I've found is very cheap and guarenteed,I've got a mate who's an electrical wiz so a bit of adapting isn't a problem,am I right in thinking that both machines are almost the same apart from the cosmetics?Thanks in anticipation.
