This is where fuel injection is really essential - carburettors don't work well in space, in the zero gravity environment.
They used special tiedown straps to get the bike safely into space, because at launch the bike is vertical. The NASA Products spokesman says the straps will be on sale soon. Super lightweight (8 grams each), shock absorbing and made of carbon fibre webbing, they would be ideal for securing your bike on the ore train from Atar to the Mauritanian coast, for example. Badly secured jeeps have been lost from that train.
I think that these straps could be a good franchise business for someone.
