I guess in the USA we don't have a Nanny State since 70 million people and 20 million children, have no health insurance at all. Nada.

In the end, this costs the taxpayers (you know, the actual working people paying for the Nanny state) about triple the cost because folks show up at emergency rooms for care, hospitals and private insurance companies "bone" the govt. and over charge for everything. No one complains, no one is asking, the govt. just pays. Actually .... we all pay!

You should thank God you're so called UK Nanny State and its leaders have thought better of it's role in the losing Iraq and Afganistan wars. We can't have a Nanny State anymore cause our country is fookin' broke ... to the tune of 3 Trillion dollars in debt to the Chinese. So Bush and Company (include McCain in this cabal)have dug us into massive debt, set off a massive panic on Wall Street (yes, they are related). I won't see the recovery in my lifetime.

Major Corporations are the ones sucking off the teat of the Nanny State. Oil companies, Weapons makers, and companies like Monsanto and Carhgill who are controlling food markets world wide. Big UK companies are playing this same game, all controlled by the same multinationals.
